5 Questions to Ask Before Signing Any Lease Agreement

Lease agreements are dense. Most people sign without reading them carefully. Here are the five questions you must answer before signing.

1. What's the excess mileage charge? Anything above AED 0.50/km adds up fast on long trips. 2. What's the early termination fee, and when does it apply? Some agreements front-load termination penalties. 3. Is insurance comprehensive, and what's the deductible? Some lessors include only basic insurance. 4. What happens at end of lease? Confirm whether return, purchase, and extend are all on the table. 5. What's covered under maintenance? Brake pads, tires, and consumables are often excluded from 'all-inclusive' packages.

If the answer to any of these is unclear, ask in writing before signing.
